Kaori Kool / 香里クール

Fiercely independent and a savvy entrepreneur. By day, Kaori runs her businesses: a trendy t-shirt shop and a separate accessory boutique, both located in Shimokitazawa (south exit). She's done well enough that she recently bought a condo in nearby Kichijoji. She doesn't have much free time outside of her businesses and the band, but when she can get away, her go-to destination is Tokyo Disneyland.

Naoko / 直子

A “Yamato Nadeshiko” through and through. Naoko was born and raised in Kamakura, the daughter of a Japanese mother and an African-American father. She excelled in her school studies but was prone to bouts of melancholy. She found solace in the traditional arts: flower arranging, tea ceremony, and, of course, playing the koto. In an effort to explore the world beyond the confines of her conservative upbringing, she joined a band.

Taisho / 大将

Everybody’s favorite uncle. Taisho went to Japan in 1990 and never went back home. He split his time between gigging in live houses and teaching English in order to pay the bills. Along the way he learned how to make yakitori and eventually opened his own restaurant, “Izakaya Kichijoji”. Taisho not only holds down the rhythm, but when personal drama gets too high in the band, he also helps the musicians get their lives together and back on beat.
