Who We Are

ShimoKita Bam Bam's music is a blend of American R&B and Japanese pop, of traditional and modern sounds, and driving rhythms. We are based near Boston, Massachusetts but our spiritual home is in the izakayas and dining bars, the live houses and concert halls, and the summer festivals of Shimokitazawa ("ShimoKita" for short) in Tokyo, Japan.

The album features 11 original and cover songs that capture the vibe and energy of the place. Phil plays most of the instruments on the album, such as koto, bass, drums, and synth, but they also
