Album Release Party & Kimono Fashion Show 9/16/2023
Are you ready for a musical and visual feast? If so, then you don't want to miss the album release party and kimono fashion show in support of "Izakaya Life", ShimoKita Bam Bam's debut album.
ShimoKita Bam Bam is a musical project by Phil Harris (they/them), a musician and producer who creates a blend of American R&B and Japanese pop, of traditional and modern sounds, and driving rhythms. They are based near Boston, Massachusetts but their spiritual home is in Shimokitazawa, a trendy neighborhood in Tokyo, Japan.
The fashion show is a collaboration between Phil Harris, kimono instructor Ara Mahar of Kimono Seikatsu and kimono designer Misao Takahara. The show will feature a collection of edgy yet elegant kimonos.
The fun takes place on Saturday 9/16/2023, 3:00 pm at 29 N. Main Street, Sharon, MA 02067 (First Congregational Church of Sharon, Parish Hall). Tickets are $25.
We would love it if you wore a kimono to the show! If you're not sure how to wear a kimono and need advice, check out Kimono Seikatsu's home page.
But wait - that's not all! For those folks who are just getting warmed up, the fun continues at the after-party or "nijikai". Join us at Farthest Star Sake, the only sake brewery in New England. We'll be there around 6 pm. No ticket required. Cash bar.
